Responsibilities

• Take ownership of technical architecture decisions
• Mentor junior developers and establish engineering best practices
• Design scalable microservices for AI reliability platform
• Collaborate with research scientists on production AI features
• Drive fast feature development while maintaining code quality

Essential Requirements

• 5+ years building production backend systems with Python and modern frameworks like FastAPI
• Experience leading and mentoring software engineers
• Hands-on experience with: FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker
• Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS/Azure) and kubernetes/terraform containerization
• Startup mindset: pragmatic, bias toward action, comfortable with rapid iteration over premature optimization
• Bonus: AI/ML systems model deployment experience
• Always learn-do-learn-do mindset
• Proficiency with coding agents like cursor/claude code/etc.
