We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to build and optimize Nugen's Domain-Aligned AI™ platform and APIs that enable predictable AI reliability in industries. You will design scalable backend services, implement our proprietary architecture innovations, and ensure our AI systems maintain quantifiable reliability bounds across specialized knowledge domains.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services for Nugen's Domain-Aligned AI™ platform using Python, FastAPI, and cloud-native technologies.
• Implement and optimize our proprietary AI reliability algorithms and architecture innovations.
• Build and maintain data pipelines for model training, validation, and continuous improvement of domain-specific AI capabilities.
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and security of our AI APIs that serve customers in industries.
• Collaborate with research scientists to translate core innovations into production-ready features that solve enterprise AI reliability challenges.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production backend systems with Python and modern web frameworks like FastAPI or Django.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD practices.
• Experience working with AI/ML systems and deploying models in production environments.
• Proven debugging skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems independently.
